Report in tonight's paper...there is a public meeting tomorrow from 3pm to 6pm at the old (Massey Uni campus) Teachers Training college on Prebensen Drive (between Ford Rd and Mitre 10). This is to 'provide an opportunity for us to make suggestions'.
Apparently there are plans afoot to 4 lane Prebensen Dr and although I reckon the speed limit will remain at 70kph, I wonder whether Cheesecutter will be involved. Janet is going to attend, so make with the questions she can put, or go as well.

Okay, off I trotted to the Public Consultation meeting.
The speed limit will remain as it currently stands. The part of the road that Napier City Council is responsible for (basically the 70 k zone), will have a grass median barrier, similar to Taradale Rd and Kennedy Rd, the other part,(Transit's responsibility) where they propose a bridge over Hydrabad Road will unfortunately have an ugly barrier...of concrete!!!
Apparently, because the overbridge will be concrete Transit has agreed to a concrete median barrier. The guy from the council was adamant that there was no way he would be letting Transit renege on the deal!

Not as much as a wire one. So the Government will be outa pocket cos we will need rebuilding not burying. I can live with that.

Moo and I are away at the races. I know of a few others are going. Ummm when I count up I think a lot are going to be away. But if you want to ride just turn up and see who else wants a ride.

Can the rest of you keep your eyes open for one. It's the CDI unit to suit a 1990ish Katana 250.

Just turn up at the servo..the one on TARADALE RD, that is...we may or may not be able to make it... could still be on grandkid duty. If we are not there by 1.40, leave without us.
