Driving home from work tonight, blithely ignorant of the world around me...

"ooh look, there are some nice Harleys"

"oh, some more cruisers"

"hmmm, a few more parked over by that takeaway. It's like there's some bike event on or something...."

"Thunder" ride or "Thunder and Lightning" Ride at the Nationals?

Thunder ride was impressive - they copped a bit of rain coming back over the Saddle, not sure what the weather was like through Woodville. And the massed bikes in the Square looked impressive.

Oh, and I now have conclusive photographic evidence that Harley riders do indeed wave.

It bucketed down during the night and we had thunder and lightening and the power went off about 2am. I didn't envy them their ride, that's for sure. Saw HEAPS of them on the road between Waiouru and Palmerston North yesterday, and more when I headed home to Levin.

Certainly not nice weather now, raining and very windy. At least their bikes are heavy enough not to blow over in the wind!

Seen them all riding down pioneer highway, very impressive, had a look at the bikes in the square. Never seen so many Harley's all in one place, awesome.
To bad the weather wasn't better.

That was really cool .. i have never seen such a huge gathering of motocyclists or bikes in one place before .. the entire square in PN was packed ... and ANZA was a mad house ... (did stop me shopping though)
