I still think it was a bit tongue-in-cheek...
I never argued it was appropriate, considerate or prudent.

I do however agree completely with the contents of Familial Relationships 101.

Familial Relationships 201: The opinion of anyone outside a relationship concerning said relationship should be disregarded.

It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Yes, definitely tongue-in-cheek. Perhaps the thread title was a bit harsh. I did warn him I was posting this before I did it and he was ok with it, and judging by his responses he's not too offended. I considered it to be part of his punishment . Guess I was still a little annoyed and needed to vent, but there was definitely humour present.

    Re: FR201 - definitely

Tell you what - next time I bin my bike, he can post a thread entitled "My idiot wife" and I won't complain.

Apologies if I have offended your sensibilities Jim.

Now excuse me while I go and deal with a screaming newborn....

    ....
Fortunately you are a woman and can pick 10001 other things to complain about instead of him putting up a post about your future bin.

Geze, people try to avoid binning, but end up in the dog box no matter what.

On the bright side you can remind him of this for many many fun filled years to come, and use it as reasoning as to why every anniversary from now on had better be pretty bloody spectacular....

Too right - damn fine choice madam! Been in your position only it was MY bike, big injury and just wanted to have a good shout and be pissed off but couldn't...AND There's bugger all else you can do other than pout and stomp around and if you still love the buggers a jestful ribbing at their expense to vent your own frustration is IMO rather healthy and much better than other options for punishment

Hope everyone is on the mend soon, bubba is doing well and that fella treats you to somefin nice to make up for things

Learning? I thought it was a blatant display of a lack of self awareness. Oh well.

Since it's only Mike's pride that's been injured, is it okay for me to ask how the bike is?

My best mate owns a couple of ducattis, which at one time, were forever breaking down, I got told that was the beauty to be able to work with them to make them better.

My arse, I am so surprised that those gorgeous italians can;t make a bike like triumph now can, that is reliable with a Capital R.

I have to admit though, Ducattis are sexy asand if I had the chance (or rather the money), I would buy and squander love and attention of a GT1000 Ducatti Sport.

Hey you Auckland Married Couple, heres to years of Ducatti happiness to you both
