wake up guys, do you think 90% of people that go to watch the racing go there to watch plonkers riding around on kids bikes?

Pretty brave statement coming from someone that rides a motorcycle made out of the useless parts bin at Suzuki Taiwan. One would have to wonder whom you canvassed to gain this valuable information,Down at the local Impulse club no doubt where phrases such as backing it in,burnout and wheel stand are seldom(read NEVER)heard!!Motorcycle roadracing is just that and it takes just as much skill if not more in some cases to ride a 125,streetstock,F3 bike or sidecar on the limit as it does a superbike or 600 and in most cases to the purest the smaller classes and sidecars are more exciting to watch.Still you wouldnt know that cause youre in the dunny having a pump while the good stuff is happening.GSX400X own the racetrack BAHAHAHA

I'd say by alot of the posts in this thread that very few of you have actually ridden a superbike.

    Have you raced?????

And have you raced a 125????
These things are BLOODY hard top ride fast..

And the thing is it aint about whoes ridden what bike.

Its to do with the fact that it was said that OUR the racers prize money would be taken away this year for equal TV coverage of all classes.
To me Showing 600 and SBK aint equal coverage and is a crock of shit, The racing was good dont getme wrong you guys did good and I think you will be able to understand were i am coming from.

I know that if i was out sponsorship hunting and i had been informed by MNZ that all classes would be showed (im in 125GP) I would definatly add that to my proposal, and it would probably be quite a important deciding factor for a proposal (to the business)

I wonder if anyone has done so, and has now been let down, making them seem like they made fake promises to sponsors.

oh, and 125's are a shit load faster through corners than those whales (600s - 1000s) which should make them more exciting to watch. Really, the extra straight line speed the big bikes have loses its 'wow' factor real quick. How much fun can you have watching a bike in a straight line.
Yep thats the exact problem, I told other people that all classes (including myself) would be on tv after reading the letter mnz wrote on the www.nzsbk.co.nz website a few months ago. I can't seem to find it now but I am 99% sure it said there would be tv coverage for all classes.

Its a bit sad but life goes on. They can't get away making false promises like this. Where do they get off making me give up potential prize money for zip in return. Doesn't sound too fair to me.

(P)diddy, I think you'll find alot in this thread actually own superbikes, and I know of a few that do 200+ wheelies on their superbikes. Does that make them harder, or more eligible to write about wanting to watch other classes on TV??
Personally, give me over 230hp at the back wheel of a sidecar over a superbike or 600 race anyday.
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??

Not sure if there was anything more detailed anywhere.

    Thanks, here we go:
Another first for 2008 will be that with the sponsorship funding we have been able to secure we will be able to arrange for all class’s of the championships to be televised. We anticipate being able to have around 16 to 20 commercial hours of homegrown New Zealand motorcycle racing on TV.
So maybe it is going to air on sky at a later date will all the classes? Hard to know, either way some questions need to be asked.

Did anyone record the coverage that was there? I got about 50% of it before the dvd crapped out.

video/dvd/someother random computer format all good.

hopefully the other classes will be on later

I know of one person who has already contacted MNZ for his prize money as his race class wasn't shown

What would bring you to this conclusion???and while we are on the subject, there arent many bikes that wouldnt be classed as superbikes when compared to your Impulse.Oh and contact for the Impulse club is nonexistent as most of the people in the club are still on the party line and have no number available. However if you ride to the end of your street and turn left then ride as fast as your little superbike will go for 10 minutes youll be there (2nd house on the right).Have a nice day and say hello to your aunty Helen for me.I assume you are related to Helen Clark owing to the fact you both seem to know what the rest of NZ wants
