They were team mates though both racing for T.K.A, Slight had Arai helmet sponsorship and Phillis had Shoei

They spent that race chasing Slighty to finish 2nd & 3rd respectively for the race & the round

It was the 3rd round of the Shell oils series at Mallala

Campbell clipped the back of Phillis's ZXR & the RC30 destroyed itself somersaulting along the track
