Wouldn't it be laggy? The turbo's a long way from either the inlet or the exhaust ports.

nice idea... could work on the execution a bit!

TBH i would think a supercharger would be the better way to go with a cruiser, just seems more the kind of thing for a 'muscle' bike to have... turbos are for rice rockets!

Could be a little harder to drive a supercharger on a shaft driven bike

    Really? How?

[edit] Ok I can't wait. Every supercharged bike I've seen has had the blower driven off the crank through an adapter kit. Therefore the method of final drive wouldn't matter.

I can only hope it's a 'proof of concept' test, and that the builder would eventually engineer something a little more attractive. Currently, it's too hillbilly to consider serious. Plus, he's mounted the turbo where the nitrous bottles go.

Good luck in avoiding a crispy thigh.

Probably not any further away than in most cars. Power pulses of big slowish revving twin would probably be more of an issue. dunno tho. I want to turbo my volkswagen sometime. Just gotta get the electronic ignition and fuel injection sorted first.

as much as I like kookey bikes and turbos and rotaries... the execution just isn't right there for me.

Top marks for trying though. Haven't seen a jap cruiser turboed yet, and I think a VN2000 or a M109 would be a scary prime candidate for a turbo.

I guess it's true that for some, too much is not enough! I've ridden a M109R and for these old bones, they've got plenty more than I can use!

Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!
