Absolute bullshit.
Has been doing the rounds for years now, and i'm pretty sure (Yep, just checked) that it's decreased Oil Company's profit by 3/5ths of fuck-all.

That would only hurt the retailer, who generally owns his own place and pays money to BP or whoever the franchise is. The local retailer would get hurt, the big company wouldn't care. ANd the retailer only gets a few cents on each litre anyway.
My local place has a sign saying something like "We only get this much money on each litre, so we'd love it if you got your WOF and repairs here, and while you're at it, would you like some milk and a paper?".
They make so little money on petrol that they are basically a dairy and workshop, who also sell petrol.

If it's in caps, or in varying fonts/size/colours, ignore it.

They don't even care if I don't wear trousers to work or not! The humanity!
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
No worries.
Now I understand!
My comment was in response to Steam's response to post #15 i.e.:
So the boycott would be indefinite, not just for one day but for only one oil company.Originally Posted by swbarnett

I work at a gas station and applaud you on your quest. Please dont come to my shop, it would make my day very easy.
But i agree it will have no long term effect.
Mate, I didn't imply that your capslock key was broken.
But as was said - do ignore anything that's all in caps! (parts of my original post included if it makes your blood boil)
Fuck, if you told me you had received it in caps and the retyped it into proper writing I'd red rep you for being an asshole! Why?
1. Because it's a stupid idea - the not buying gas thing.
2. Because it would be a waste of your time.
3. You should be more lazy than that!
4. You should have ignored what was written in caps to begin with.
Peace.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Meh, no matter what the petrol price is you have got to pay it.
the only side effect to petrol prices cranking up is scooter sales go through the roof.
back in 06 when petrol prices went right up i was sending 20 scooters a week out the door as opposed to the usual 3.
