Edit: Have re-read all the posts involved and decided I have misinterpreted it a little, so I've edited my post accordingly.
HTFU is in reference to having a slow bike, and making it an excuse for not coming on these rides. Thats the real issue with the ride you have isnt it. You went on a ride, a ride that happened to be in bad enough weather that most of us choose not to go on except for some of the faster guys and ureself, got left behind and now feel hard done by. Also because you have your full and cant afford/find/get the bike you want. Well tough. I distinctly remember talking to you about that once and you stating that you dont really mind riding the NZ even if you had your full. But that seems not to be the case.
I dont blame you for wanting a bigger bike, hell I think almost all the ones that come out on 250's cant wait to get a bigger bike, but I know that I will be riding to keep my skill up untill I get my next bike, not sulking cos I cant have it now.
As for you feeling that everyone is out to get you, thats something that only you can make a decision about, and if ridings not for you then thats it, something we all have to face/decide on at some point.

BTW you get Phoexnix's PM? Prefer a Fri or weekend night if you up for it

I suspect we aren't reading from the same book here - I don't recall that ever happening. Sure, I got soaked that one time when it hailed near Diamond Harbour, but 1. I didn't get left behind, and 2. I never felt hard done by.

At the time, I meant it. Test riding bigger bikes has changed all that in a big way. Besides, I had the money at the time, and didn't exactly plan to be unemployed. If I wasn't (and if the car didn't need fixing too, damn it), I'd be buying another bike pretty soon.

Yep, got the PM. Don't know if it's gonna work... Anita may or may not be free on the Friday - if she is I'm keen, and we've got a mate's wedding to go to on the Saturday, so that's out. Which reminds me, I'll have to bail on my softball team for that day, which means they'll probably have to default. Dammit.

I really should come along to another Wed night ride. Maybe it'll help me to forget about other crap I'm dealing with.

I blame having no job. Always gets me short tempered because money is such an issue. Getting nagged about it every 2nd day (grrr) really doesn't help when I'm actively applying for nearly everything, it just makes me more cross.

Hey, that was THE BOMB!!! That was fun - funniest bit was all the fast guys going at 20 km/h with both feet on the ground on their precious sportsbikes

Hmm, been there. I wound up doing laboring jobs for 2 years after spending 5 and a bit years at Uni cos my industry was in fire-mode :|. Sucks, but you WILL get a job eventually - I did (after 2 years of applying for jobs every week - I lost count after 100-something applications...). If your industry's doing the same thing, think about getting a fill-in job somewhere else? Even laboring etc, at least it pays the bills - and you get a bit of social interaction during the day. Which TBH, is one of the biggest problems with not having a job ;o.

Guess what! We rate you! You are a very tidy rider with a heap of ability! You give sportsbike wannabes like myself the learn in the twisties and combine it with a pleasant personality. Bastard!! Come along before autumn hits-make riding your outlet to get away from lifes realities for a while. God knows, I do! It will come right!

Everything working out the way it should do, I should have a brand new clutch in the bike by Wednesday, the bike will have had a tune up and service, and the front tyre will have been replaced on Wednesday arvo before the ride.

Man I cant wait to get out there and just go for a blast on a bike where the clutch doesnt suck.

And you still want to try and find a cosmetically better one ?, man after what you have put into that machine a pretty one would let you down.
