    Check this site:

Also, the Morrie Centre on Archers Road in Glenfield (Auckland's North Shore, don't know a phone number sorry) would be a great place to start, if they are still around.

Hi. My dad is a morry maniac & said he will have a look to see if he has anything. (knowing the silly ole bugga it will take him a week to get around to it though.. ) Do a Google search under morris minor & a shit load of morry clubs comes up.. check out a local one to you & contact someone there.. they might be able to put the word out for you.

Also there is the National Morris Minor Rally on here in Nelson at Easter weekend... are ya coming down for it???

It's been a good many years. But MOST of those Lucas gennies, you could switch the end plates and pulleys. The electricy bits were the same, within the same sized gennies. (the mounts were on the end plates)

that was the idea, but without the battery charging its a long journey.

at a last resort, a lot of charged batterys and only crank start it

Post up some piccies of the gennie, might help. They weren't specific to particular models like they are nowdays,s ame gennie probably went on the Morries, Austins, Singer Bantam, Standards , you name it.

from what i understand the same should be in an austin a30
dont have any pics and the internet hasnt shown me any.

The A30 has an 803 A block, same as the first OHV Minor - so different to the sidevalve minor. But as Ixion says, they are all the same, just pulleys and end plates. The sidevalve will probably run a fat belt,so you'll have to make sure the armature will take the fat belt pulley.Best get the higher output and more common C40 generator, and a 3 bobbin regulator to go with it.It should be positive earth on the sidevalve, but someone may of changed it to negative earth - polarize by flicking a live wire from the battery to the ''F'' terminal....otherwise you could blow the regulator.

Head out to the airport on SH3, at the corner of the entrance to the Aero Club there is the old chicken factory, where there's plenty of old Morries and everything else. He's having a big cleanout at the moment, and I'm sure would have something for you
