70 meg,I am in Newlands feel free to pop in,I have something on tommorow night but I will be at home
i have a '88 GSXR 250 and was in the same situation as you but i descovered this site: www.repairmanualclub.com which had a pdf version of the original owners manual for my bike which should be similar to the bandit (engine wise)
only problem is you have to register but its worth it, btw dont bother looking for repair manual, clymer, hanes etc pretty sure it doesnt exist.
How are these bandits?
I went to Colemans Suzuki today and saw a bandit with a huge rear tire and not a bad looking body... I am just not keen about the naked look on the nose end..
How 'annoying', as it were, is having wind gushing on you @ 110kph via a naked bike, in comparison to a sport with full fairings?
I am a tall guy and have noticed these bandits are a little bit taller than some of the sports, for example - and I dont want to close off my options just because I have a preference for Sports like FZR and CBR.
Because also I am not going to be a commuter, I want something which is going to last me at least two years of having fun without getting bored of a lesser bike. This is why I want the performance of the CBR or FZR for example.
Cheers
Bandits are quick 250's [oxymoron] 40hp as opposed to 45 for CBR/ZXR etc. They handle bloody well and are very reliable.
You get blown about on the motorway however.
Well I never found A 250 service manual. But I did get a Bandit 400 manual for 91/92. here. the bikes are pretty similiar it seems. Can only download for the next five days before the link self destructs!
You can d/l it from that link thanks
have you still got the cd as if it defe for a gsxr250
Don't know if this will be any use to you now but just found this
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9Q0S7H1W
Hope the link works, if not i got it on my compo, 35 pages of general maintanence, specs and intervals, not a workshop one tho, cheers
