Popped my first wheelie on the R-6 today

yeah so I took her in for service today...oil/filter change, throttle body sync, etc.....got flushmounts installed in the process.

So on the way home I pulled up to a red light, hot girl in a Saab convertible with the top down pulled up next to me and started checkin' me out......just seemed like the right time for some fun. Pinned the throttle, slid back against the rear seat cowl, and did a roll-on power wheelie. She liked it too because at the next light she gave me a big thumbs up. I'm gonna try not to do that too much in the future but I do think a GPR steering damper might be in my future

    I love my bike

Oh, and here are some pics with the flushmounts installed. Enjoy.

So much effort to just get a thumbs up from a girl plus the other usual risks of wheelieing from a red light and you still didn't get her digits.

    Nice effort

I like to use sandpaper on mine.

Getting the correct slant on the bottom of the footpegs with the angle grinder took some careful planning, though.

I wish I could wheelie, so I could get chicks.

hehe, yeah....afterwards I did wonder what it woulda looked like had I binned it in front of everyone. I could just imagine her pulling up to the mess and stopping to help and me being too damn embarrased to even look at her. Add to that the weeks of kicking myself in the arse for having destroyed my bike for a thumbs up and a smile from a random chick in a crap Saab.........

It worked out though and it was FUCKIN AWESOME! Shoulda got her number. She was alot better lookin' then her car.

    Next time.

I've got a track day coming in May. That should take care of the so-called "pussy" stripes......then after that its two days at the California Superbike School (at Virginia International Raceway) on one of thier bikes ('07 zx6r Ninja).

Its gonna be a damn good summer.

This is what business cards are for, dude.

The correct procedure is to whip one out of your jacket pocket, flick it into her lap and yell "Gimme a call sometime!" before zooming off.

Lesson learned: Buisness card reading "My penis is bigger then my 600" on order.

Yeah, we've got California Superbike School. Its awesome. I know some peeps who have done it and they loved it. It is $$$$ though.

We also have the usual "Corner Speed" events which are basically open track days. Its pretty cheap for a day of fun.

To answer your question NOMIS: I bought my '07 R-6 brand spankin' new for $7,850 out the door. That means tax, tags, doc fee's, license, etc....all included in the price. If you're planning on staying in the 'States awhiles the bike prices are gonna blow your mind compared to what you pay in NZ.

Gotta love America (well, for that anyway)
