I just talked to a mechanic mate....he does diesels and can fix it. He does say if it is the head gasket that the head is quite possibly toast $Kaching$. If his services are reqd, let me know.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

You guys rock ... thanks for the heads-up, it sounds like lotsa munny - cruel isn't it, especially when they did so much good selfishly. I have been told by PM that someone is trying to organise to help get it to Welly - they'd just rather keep it offline at the moment so I'll keep you all posted.

Yeah kind of makes sense doesn't it, they blew a couple of radiator hoses, one in Otorohanga on the morning of day 2 and the other in Auckland on day 3 so either the overheating has caused the head to warp or the blown gasket was pressurising the system causing the hoses to go. Either way, sounds expensive.

Hope to see some of you at least at lunch tomorrow

Brilliant stuff team. I'd buy you a at lunch but you'll be in Welly!

Anyone else keen to meet up with the guys from down the line.
They should be here for lunch about 1.15. We could meet at the normal time and place, ride down to the Waterfront to meet them and talk shite, then head up the Taupo Rd to escort them off the premises...

We'll be pootling down Tiko wayish and probably land at the Patangata 2ish or later and then head somewhere else, if anyone's out that way and wants to meet or whatever.

Well I think we will be there
    Carissa and I that is

We had such a good day today, it was the first time she has been on the bike since her knee operation in October and the more recent scare

We decided it was such a nice day and she was feeling good that we would go for a ride
So off we go, and we rode to the Hotsprings in the Kawekas, a beaut day for riding and a beaut day with Carissa
We stayed there for quite a while and basked in the sun with coffee and sandwiches

Which reminds me the road is seal all the way to Balls clearing now, so that would be a good ride sometime soon, and there are picnic tables etc there too

Dusty Butt 1000km - We knocked the bugger off what next?

It was a fun ride with the Welly boys yesterday. I took the Mighty Spada again, what an awesome little bike, more fun than a weasel down your trousers!
I wasn't last again!! Two rides in a row..maybe I'm getting the hang of this motomycycling thing, finally
    Looking forward to this avo!
