NOOO,think of the little children if you paint it green.

Just hide the bike in the shed, wives never venture into them, much like us guys and kitchens. That way you can say how did that stay here.

What time do you guys sleep, tough bikers, jeez after 2 in morning and that.

One write up I saw went on to say that the RF900 has the widest buttocks of any bike produced prior to 1994 & still has to date & even made maritime connections to it's appearance

Unless a bolt of lightening hits the mighty RF has been sold for the asking price, extremely good value for money I reckon.

Thanks for all the support & kind words lads, be real sad to let her go & without a replacement i'm having second thoughts to be honest

God I hope my next bike will be as good as this has been

you're welcome to come and have a nosey whenever you like mate (im in palmy) - my timeframe is reasonably flexible

the generator drive will be fixed some time next week (waiting for bits from japan) so PM me if/when you're keen

edit: and if you do, bring the GPz, I had an '87 900 A4 a dozen years ago and your beast would be interesting to nosey at (just for nostalgia's sake)

You're not getting all melencholy are you.The GPZ/GPX 750 were a damn good bike, mate had one prior to buying a GSXR750 in 1986.He had an off as you take the right hander going into Eltham(from south) on his GPZ,was doing 120km or so,hit a huge hole which tossed him into the verge, handled that but hit a pothole again and slid on the grass.Smashed his rear wheel when it hit the kerb.

Sounds like a good buy was had for the RF,can be bitter sweet when sold, but then along comes another bike hopefully as great.

dont know much about the GPXs....test rode a 600 a while back but wasnt impressed

the 900 was a serious weapon tho, water-cooled 16v dohc in the mid-eighties was a serious piece of machinery. i had some great runs from chch thru to nelson and picton, would love to have one in the shed for the odd fang

will definitely miss the RF if sold. when i said i'd like to keep it and buy another i'm dead serious....ideally i'd have a 1-up bike and a 2-up bike but right now it's not really a goer...
