Lazy, lowlife excuses for neighbours - advice needed

Righto, not a big problem, but one I want to sort. My g/f and I have just moved, same area but 'better' part. Our place backs onto a quiet no exit street with a few units/houses sharing the same street. Now some poor, pathetic excuse for a human, who obviosly possesses no basic morals, has decided to dump their beer cans, albeit tied up in a plastic bags, right outside the entrance to our driveway. Not actually on the property, but in a position that they become our responsibilty.

Now I'm not cleaning some fucken lazy slobs shit up, we are all capable of cleaning up our own mess. And to go to the effort to crush the cans, tie them up, but not dispose of them properly themselves, well it just doesn't make sense to me. I have one place I suspect and I was going to go over and have a quiet talk, but the g/f pointed out that without evidence I can't prove a thing. (Damn logical women, just wanted to vent some steam)

So I come home from work today, a busy day as our manager just quit and I'm now trying to take up the slack, and carry on selling cars to make a living. And what do I find, two more fucken bags!! So I head across the road to 'chat' about the situation, but realise the futility of that. So come on peeps, what can I do? It seems to either happen late at night, or during the day when I'm at work. I've thought about picking them up and putting them outside their house, I've also thought about depositing them one by one around their house. Anyone had experiences like this before, if so what did you do. I hate untidy people, and feel like planting my Sidi Race sized 9 through someones teeth, and although I'm shorter than most, I'm flexible and have a strong front kick.

I think if you dispose of them yourself, They will think they can get away with it and do it again!
But if you give them back(what ever way you would like) They will get angry and do it again!
So what ever you do, Its not looking good my friend.
Try not to get too angry infront of them, they will just laugh and tell their friends.
Will just see if any KB'er has any bright ideas. (thats NOT gonna get you in more hassels)!
    Good Luck.

    Retaliate?

    Hey Bandito

You could move to a "less popular part of town" eg from our experience in Hei Hei (read poorish for nonChchers) the neighbours have been great.

Retaliation feels good but has the effect of escallating the problem - next the cat gets it. : an Pokey: for an

Call the Council to clean em up and let em accumulate - messy

    Some people are just pains

Are you sure that it is them, ask them if they know who has been "depositing" said cans on your driveway as you want to speak to the people to ask that they don't do it. Politeness will always beat agro, any dickhead can get agro.

    Just another opinion

    Cool Onearmedbandit...

Is there a place in Chch that does cash for cans?
If so you could make a killing off ya neighbours...
and you will be the one getting richer at there expense...

Yep it is a pain what they are doing... only choice you may have to prove who is doing it... is to set up a video recording camera.. but do it sneaky like so that they wont see the camera....

The ppl putting these rubbish bags out must be drinking a heck of a lot.... and must be going to the lou a lot as well... maybe block up the lou...lol

I wonder if they used to do it to another nieghbour before you and since you have just moved in this is you iniciation into the neighbourhood...lol

    pulp them.......

Get two to four of my your mates that the neighbours havn't seen/met before, get them to put on black 2 piece suits, skinny black ties and wear ray-bans.

Get them to then pull up in a bigish car (with the plates off) with the stero blasting with "little green bag" or "Stick in the middle with you", stop, get out all cool, walk up to the neighbours mail box and smash the shit out of it, toss the rubbish (which u would have placed in the boot before hand) all over the driveway, drive off like nothing has happened.

Get them to carry airpistols/BB guns as to scare the people off if they get too close, and if they don't buy it, beat the crud out of one of them and
stick them in the boot, take them back to an empty construction site, and teach them a lession.

[note : you can wear "ex-president" masks if your really worried about being seen]

Ring the litter control officer at the local council and let him handle it first. If that doesn't work, try any of the above.
