I'm assuming the shingle on the Akaroa hill is still pretty bad. Anyone been that way in the last few days?

I'm sorry, I know our circumstances are different but that kinda talk still cracks me up every time I hear it.

Will see how the day at work progresses, might even make it along again this time... maybe.

Seems like the perfect excuse to be out there every Wednesday during winter.

You know to practice your night riding.

Only if you let it... and its mostley in the head, get used to the bike moving benieth you, use uper body weight to corner, shingle is readable and only an issue if you make it.

No its fine, rode it last Friday... was very hot so the fresh tar was soft, by now it wont be an issue.

Myself and Spuds went out 'practising' night riding last night...

...okay, it was more an excuse to go for a hoon on my new bike, but since it was dark the whole time I figure we can call it night riding practice as well. I'm with you Helen - not a big fan of riding in the dark either really, but a bit of practice at it and you begin to feel more comfortable. Last night wasn't as bad as I remember it... you just have to take it easy.

Yeah, well if I was riding your bike it wouldn't bother me and I don't want to go north again. I was bored last week.
