    Clarke tanks

    So hey fellow'sssss

paid for and ordered my Clarke 4.2 Gal tank to stick on my xr250l which should give me the bit extra you all know i wanted so bad!

wanted to get acerbis 22litre but meh, cbf'd with issues fitting, and the extra 5-6 litres will be a huge difference for my wee cee cee

checked bank before and it has cost me $255usd -> $316 NZ DOLLARS O_O, and 60usd was just for postage

big fan of using my creditcard now

never bought something in from somewhere before, will it cost me extra when it gets here?

    Shouldn't cost anything extra.
No GST and I don't think there's any duty on bike bits.

You'll be getting 350-400 odd km range with this baby.

Goods over $250 attract GST, although I've got away with more than that on quite a few occasions.

    ya you know it !

got tank, my legend hcx gps,

the difficult part now is racks, finally told honda that they make a genuine rack, but i think i want something a bit better, everyone says xr250 sub frames are weak as piss

so im gonna start practicing with TIG , cause i dont even wanna both trying to mig some nice racks, and see what i can come up with,

i do know that bash plates for xr250r's and xr400s will bolt straight on thou, so thats cool, all this xr250l model stuff is a problem, but im slowly getting through it

one day when engine neeeeeeeeds a makeover, ( one one day far far away i guess ) , ill probably give her some more cc's of grunt, but for now its the

    rack problems,
    tool tube & skidplate
    maybe some seat improvements

new bars, better aux light setup, and BOBSYAUNCLE

Thumbs up fitted a Clarke tank to my DR350

since the thread was abt Clarke Tanks - thought I'd chip in with you mainlanders and say how happy I am with my Clarke tank - makes a huge difference to the range of my wee DR. Only snag is need to lean machine toward left at about halfway to gain full benefit - disconcerting at the lights when it fluffs with a stack of impatient cage drivers behind you :-(
