Sidecars come out to play - Levels

Well this weekend at Levels, the sidecars will be stepping out from under the usual bike limelight and going for it in a completely different arena.

There is a huge V8 UTE and truck race event this weekend (yes I know cars.... yawn!) but what a great opportunity, as the sidecars have been invited to attend as the premier support class.

So all the South island outfits will be coming out to play.... plus the current national Champ Steve Bron, the Lawrence chair and the gorgeous Scrivy and Sidecar bob will be coming from up North.

If you feel like a blat out to Timaru, come and support the guys as they show the cars what fun really is!

    Go the freakshow!!!!!

Saturday: Qualifying and one race.... Sunday: two races. (pretty much the same formula as the nationals)

Shame the V8's get around Levels quicker. Would be funny as hell to have a support class (and not even a car one) lapping faster than the premier class heh.

Sounds like a great idea. Hopefully it'll catch on and there'll be more car meets that have the sidecars as a support class. It can only be good for chair racing.

    Yeah it would be....

This exposure is huge for the sidecars.

I am not holding my breathe that KB'ers will come to a car event to support them, but it would be nice!

Thats why 250 Superkarts didn't to get invited to many events, they made the cars look slow

Can't really compare the Sidecars and V8s on that track as we run slightly different tracks

Typical car drivers. Just like all those bike vs car tests where the car is the latest and greatest fire breathing million dollar cock extension and the bike is showroom Fireblade ...

Its categorically the most mentally & physically challenging section of track for a passenger in NZ.

I haven't ever seen the bikes/sidecars run the track without the chicane, are we allowed to?

looks better for the public anyway

Bob, Chris asked me to make it as challenging as we can for the freak show - that means the bus stop!!
Just cause other passengers can't do it , doesn't mean you can't!!

I think the short bikes will do the chicane - the gay LCR's can miss it. Will even up the lap times!!!
