    HELP: AKL Monster Roadshow

We need to go to AKL end June (30th to 4th July to be exact).

Sully one and I are flying up and back and have accomodation for that week but Sully60 is going to ride up and will need a comfy square of carpet to rest on at night and somewhere to keep MY bike safe.

The only people we know are relocating since we told them we were coming so won't be round...SO we are putting the call out to the KB community.

Something in Manurewa would be really really ideal!

We are also hoping to stay up there for the Saturday night as we would love to take Sully one to Rainbows End....is that far from Manurewa?

Anyway - conscious that shit happens so being the practical girl that I am I'm keen to ensure we have a couple of options up our sleaves in case closer to the time helpers need to withdraw their offer.

I really need Sully60 to come with us as his support for both of us during this week will be hugely needed and I would hate to have something go wrong at the last minute and so he'd have to stay behind.....

Manurewa is within walking distance of Rainbow's End but I wouldn't advise you to walk because it is SOUTH AUCKLAND.

If you want to see the truely scarey monsters go for a walk around K Road and Upper Queen Str. in the wee small hours.Don't go alone and don't go unarmed.

No worries chicky the sentiment is much appreciated

Pity we don't know anyone in Akland to call on - asking for help from strangers isn't something I'm terribly comfortable or experienced in BUT needs must and this visit is too important to not ask for help to make sure we can all be there together.

I know.I've only lived in Welly for a few months and I quickly found out what are the more "interesting" areas to be wary of.I lived in Jafaville years ago when it was quite safe at night but now you wouldn't catch me walking around there with scumdog at my side.(even if he was dressed!)
PS Good luck with your mission.

Here's another couple of Welly areas to go walking through unarmed for kicks:

Merton Street in UHutt - mmmm fun times
Cannons Creek, Waitangirua hee hee - some good folk live in all these places but concerning the ones you don't know....keep clear!

I know what you mean...I was in a similar (although less important) situation when I crashed at the Kendogs for last year's KB Birthday Bash.
But they were awesome, so rest assured it will be alright...KBers are like family, so it's not really asking for help to strangers.

hell, if your man didn't mind thr North Shore, 007XY and I would have him in a heartbeat. He could sleep in the office, we'd make him comfortable. But I realise that it's too far from where you and little Sullyone will be.

Anyway, the offer is there if you guys want it...

    Define normal.

Careful how you answer as I may end up commuting from the shore depending on your answer...

    Uuuuummm...

Normality is but a figment of one's perception?

Normal Schmormal - You don't seem dull enough to be that bad....we certainly aren't what I'd call *normal* either. BUT we are good people and that is what really matters I think.
