Actually I got it though Kerry at Motohaus. A colleague of his (another Kerry) imports quite a few bikes from all over. He organised everything so it was really easy.

PM me for the number if you're ever thinking of changing (notice I didn't say upgrading? Upgrading is what jappers do once a year). Yesterday, they even had 2 2008 Rockers in stock!

    Considering a new Night Rod Special is $US16,000 ($NZ20,000) +$2500 GST + $1000 freight +350 ORC + NO WAIT!!! Why wouldn't you?

A mate imported a Harley from the US a year ago. It's really easy and I would have done it myself but Kerry had one on the way so I grabbed it.

i've bought 3 bikes from the kerrys at motohaus, and may buy another in the next couple of weeks (after the buell got stolen, broken and burnt) and i have to say that i've never had better service. nothing is ever a problem, and they stand behind what they sell.
    couldn't ask for more.

I thought they made bikes. Well, motors, apparently, since they're The Motor Company.
I bet their jeans (and undies and perfume and biker patches and lunchoboxes and other assorted dross) are made by other factories or sweatshops in the Philipines.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

You should have a look at just the HD accessory catalogue, its 896 pages long.

    Lucky Lucky Lucky!

We could only dream the stealerships around here were half as good as that.

Most take the View that customers exsist only to interupt and incovienance them.

Sadly Customer Service is just not in their vocabulary.

    LOL True!

Although the Phillipines struggles compete with other lower cost countries these days.

Like China, Bangladesh, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam etc

    Ack Shirley, I have.
A gurrrlll I used to sit next to in my old job had a Sportster, and was really into Harleys, as was her husband, who had two. Or three.
Gurrrlllie even had an HD handbag (it actually looked like a tool bag). Of course, I teased her about it, but she knew how OTT the whole thing was. She wasn't entirely one-eyed about Harleys though - she had some very pointed things to say about crap design of some things, reliability, etc.
