    Traverse and other routes?

I will be travelling down with a couple of others.
I plan on meeting some at Ohakune. I will be hopefully making a detour or three to muddy up the bike and arrive like an adventurer should...lol
If that can't be done, at least roll around in a puddle or two between Ohakune and Wellington.

Sounds good. I will be putting new feet on the bike and if the traverse is okay might like to give it a go.
    Give me a call sometime

    Any takers?

Just to clarify that, I have a plan that involves a few places I want to ride and am planning on doing that solo and at my own pace but wouldn't mind meeting the odd body at various places, preferably ones associated with the imbibment of beer.

Part one of that plan is overnighting thursday at Howards Lodge in National Park
Part two is meeting others (Clint, Rosie?) at Ohakune lunchtime friday
We're still planning on lunch in Ohakune. No idea where we are going from there. Clint may have a plan, but I am not aware of it at this stage.

And we let them keep thinking it.

We just have to keep turning the power switch off occasionally to remind you all

Just a quick note for anyone who still has to get a fire extinguisher: I just got a 500gram one from Bunnings in NaeNae (presumably all Bunnings stores will have the same deal?) on special for $18

    Fire extinguishers

Having searched most of Auckland trying to find a smallish extinguisher, the best place was the marine shops, they seem to love small 300 -400 gram extinguishers for some reason.
As a side note, none of the local extinguisher dealers / manufacturers actually make anything less than 500 grams.

Thank you for that, how come after you've bought something the right thing turns up closer to home / cheaper!

I'll get one of those for the KTM then, saves swapping them over.

Some of use canty crew have decided that getting back into Chch at 2200 on the Sunday night is a bit rough (seems we are getting old or something) so we have decided to bring the homeward bound sailing back to 1035. This means that doing the Pram track or similar on the Sunday morning is out. Is there any of the local Welly bunch that are willing to act as guides for a ticky tour on the Friday arvo? We get to Welly around 1300 on the Friday and will need to deposit gear somewhere etc so we should be good to go around 1430ish. I'm sure we can find and have ago at the Pram track by ourselves but it would be cool to go for a ride with the local yokels before the starts

    Cheers R
