ATTN: Tauranga 'ers Bike Inspections Please :D

Hey there folks. I was suggested to post on here to possibly get two bikes looked at.

They are on TradeMe and I am Auckland and the bikes are in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.

I am hoping someone in the area has a few minutes to check out these bikes or any information on them at all.

1) The first is a 1998 XTZ 660 Tenere.

It seems like it has 165k kms on it.



2) The other is in Tauranga as well.

The seller is actually on KB Nickname:TgaAdv, but he has not been on KB in a while to check any PM's and on his trade me auction page he advised to txt or call him but does not leave a contact number.

Hi there,

I did a lemoncheck on that bike but gave up when the bidding went on and on.... Especially with the km the lemoncheck showed...
I talked to a guy in wellington that looked at it, It ran well enough, needed chain and sprockets, Brake pads, a paint and the full set of front plastics needed really to be replaced or some bodgy repairs done as they just managed to hang on with tape and cable ties.....

LF3 bought it and on his last auction was asking over 5k for it... By the looks he has painted it and done a few things to it.

I guess expecting to get hit with some red rep would be fair for bagging some guys bike, But how would you feel if you bought it and found out the truth later on.... Gutted?

All in all i am not saying it is a piece of shit or not worth touching, Just saying be aware...

Yes i guess that could have been a better idea rather than air all dirty laundry in public...

Yes bike goes on sale before the CCA!....... I will miss it, Its a great bike....

However... I shall be taking the 01 F650 GS Dakar You did not think i was hanging up the helmet and gloves did you?

Congratulations! Dakar sounds like a good choice, it's certainly on my "to buy at some time after I win lotto list".

Nope 100% road tyres......

Replacements on the way tho....

They will shake its road feet off!

Then it can get dirty for what looks like its first time ever!
