    Dobbyn beats King

Well was an awesome final round at Fells farm yesterday apart from the late afternoon rain which ruined the last round. Have to commend Hamish Dobbyn on his awesome riding. Clearly beating the master himself Darryl King on hard pack then the mud, especially when he will board a plane this week to head to Europe. Darryl was certainly not willing to hand the reigns over to Hamish but in the end couldnt catch him. Full marks to Darryl for the praise he gave Hamish at the end of the day also.

I believe DK wasn't able to catch Tony Cooksley in the vets class either.
Was a good day until it turned into a mud bath.
If a man is walking in a forest and no women is there to hear him is he still wrong?

Yeah was an awsome battle, was good to see the legend at work. Had a wicked day but wished I had got that new tyre I needed. The mud was a bit of fun though.

I used to work for Hamish's Dad. He was a real young fella then, I remember his e-mails to Darryl really well, and the replys. Darryl King does a huge amount of stuff behind the scenes, top marks to a top guy! Well done Hamish too!

Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

thought it sounded a little funny, DK not being able to clean up Cooksley (no disrespect to Cooksley)

From what i've seen Dobbyn is certainly ultra smooth on a mx track, doesn't really look fast as he is so smooth. Didn't look to good at the Manukau Supercross though, maybe it was because of his injuries at the time.

Good luck to Hamish overseas anyway, lets hope we see him in a World mx race soon
