Yup, there is a washer that acts as a spacer just outside the speedo gearbox where the wheel actually connects to the gearbox (and onto the cable and so on). The spacer got grounded down so much that the part that connects to the wheel doesn't engage and therefore no reading.
Washers dimensions:
Diameter of inside hole = 2006 20cent coin (no shit.)
Total diameter of washer = 13.5cm
Thickness it needs to be: 2006 10cent coin (again, how convenient!)
Is it do-able?

Bloody brilliant news Isaak. That will be minter if you can make it. Glad its all going back to normal. Hope you make it with us, that will be brilliantastic.
PocketCracker did you get your days off sorted ?
Nagash , don't let us down brother it won't be the same without you. You know how awesome you are to ride with*Advertising*
Choco, how is your search for GNs going brother. I see alot of them around and they are mostly beautiful girls on them so dont give up. Have you taught seriously about starting to organise GN rides bro ? that will be mean. I would have to get me a GN and join you. Mind you I saw a very cool looking GN125 on RetardMe and if I had the 1300 bux I would buy it.
Pease out, looking anxiously at the weather website for forkast. All of youz are required to prey to the rain gods for good weather![]()
Well it looks like I'm able to come on this trip! Spent a while at Hubba Gubba's place tonight and the bike is pretty much back to normal! (Thanks so much Nick). All it needs now is a indicator cover and it'll be perfect again! Well... except for the huge scrape on the left hand side, but... chicks dig scars? Haha.
But if it's raining I'll probably pull out...
A GN corro loop maybe?
I've learned quite a lot since my first one and I think my uphill skills have increased too, but we will see on this trip weather I know it well enough to lead a ride.
And you would be more than welcome to come Toto, maybe you could be TEC or we could swap bikes again
You should start handing out Kiwibiker fliers to them Toto! I'm sure i could help with that![]()

what! we can still do itGlad to hear it brother. If its raining like its been in the last 3 days then I think we all pull out...but i'm hoping that all the rain for next week is falling NOW and it will be sweet as for the tour. fingers crossed, just have to take it easy
and choco if you have the dimensions of the washer then I know of a good bolt shop who should be able to sort you out. Pm me if you want some help, I'm not saying I can necesarily fix it but I had a similar issue on my first bike.
I'm thinking of a way to join you guys. I'm always keen for photography
No pocketcracker! I don't do pornography! lol
If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
