Gas Stations get held up more often than Banks.

It's a courtesy thing, they don't have to serve you either, if you want the gas, you need to abide by the guidelines that they provide.

It seems to be BP at the top of my list. AA points + Pack&slave coupons.
    Shell second place.

I never use mobil or caltex.

When they require middle eastern people to remove their burkah to complete a sale...
I never remove the helmet at gas stations.

That's a fair comment, but in 7 years in the industry, i've never seen someone wearing a burkah at a Petrol station.

    How odd.

Petrol's petrol. It all burns. I'm surprised there are so many who are selective.

I don't believe in pandering to bikes. Mine are all jolly grateful there're getting petrol at all, not kerosene. Like I say to then "Drink it up and stop whining, there's a starving moped in China would be jolly grateful for that nice 91 octane petrol"

I use whatever is nearest when I run onto reserve, and whatever doesn't shag me around with prepay crap. Other than that, I don't really care.

    BP Ultimate all the way...

    ...when possible.

And regarding the helmet thing - I usually make a point of opening my visor after having filled the tank. I then get my wallet out before I enter the store, haven't had anyone seem nervous or ill at ease with that approach.

Any station not on prepay, I just refuse to go near a business that assumes I'm a crim 'cos someone else drove off without paying.

BP ultimate is my fuel of choice.

There is a sticker on front window of every petrol station.

    With a helmet crossed out.

It is a retail shop so it's like leaving your dog outside it's a condition of being on thier premisis, i have been known to just leave it on though, i do take it off sometimes but if i have put in say $20 aned have it in cash i drop it through the night pay window and knock on the window. and then make sure they acknowledge it, and then ride off.

People in the que inside give you the evils. but i have better things to do than stand in a que for 5 minutes, while they put through all thier jew vouchers, magazines and candy bars etc.

For the sake of $1 i cant be arsed with vouchers and crap.

LOL it's not hard you have to go in anyway, i just say i do not know how much it will be heres, x amount of cash, or my eftpos card. the thing is then they have you on the instore camera thats the reasoning for it is so you have to come into the store so they can fully identify you.

90% of stations in auckland are prepay now, with prices like this they just cant risk it. There are so many drive off's that it isn't funny.

Why are people so fussed about prepay, well ixion you are a pretty dodgy looking old fella ya know.

I mean yes prepay is an extra hassle.

but if ive pulled into a gassy and got cap open etc ready to fill im not going to close it and goto a different gassy just on that, it'ws petty, these ol timers, don't realise times be a changin.
