Napkins used to promote road safety

Police in the Cumbria UK region have unveiled their latest weapon in the battle to improve road safety for bikers… napkins.

Thousands of napkins will be distributed to roadside vans and cafes, featuring the slogans ‘Bikers Don't Crunch After Lunch" and "Dead Tired or Just Dead’.

Assistant chief constable Graham Sunderland said "We hope that by targeting people at the roadside with our safety messages, we can prompt them to take a little more care, and prevent further collisions from occurring."

the same way lead lined bike seats will protect us from "death rays".

The napkins will work by getting sucked into the air-intakes, blocking them or resticting air flow.

I might believe that, but the truth is that they're probably serious.

But I find it kinda funny it's on napkins still. Something we wipe our fingers on is gonna convince you to take a break? I doubt it. How about they take the money used to produce these napkins to fund a free coffee or tea for drivers and riders (drivers and riders only, not pillions or passengers, otherwise it would be too expensive) in some of the more frequented cafes on roads where accidents due to tiredness occur most often?
Who, me? I just wander from thread to thread.

in order to see these napkins you would already have stopped for a break, then they hand you a napkin suggesting you stop for a break...

    Haha...

    Yeah. It's kinda stupid.

Maybe it's for you to take one for a friend?

Agree it sounds lame, with the slogan they're proposing. But ones about drinking and driving/riding would be good. B.A.D.D. napkins .... for the cage drivers as well.

Yep, why should only bikes be singled out? Still don't think many people would take too much notice of what's on a square piece of tissue though.
