Why don't we all get off our asses and bring more money into our sport to help put more of our racing on TV!! I can get 4 hours of racing on TV for $13,000 - not to mention 'extra' slots when available. If each round charged its competitors ($13,000 / 140 odd) that works out to be $92.85 each person! If everyone is so adamant they want to see their mugs on TV, then why don't we fork out the extra dosh in our entries?? Afterall, with such talent blasting around the tracks nowadays, wouldn't TV coverage make sponsorship more attractive?? Come on dudes, it's only about an extra $465 a year for the Nats!! F@rk all compared to most peoples budgets!!

I got some knee-sliders! Sold them for $20 at prizegiving and bought 3 beers... When I see F3/PT coverage on the telly I'll believe it.

That was great aye - A TVNZ cameraman was killed by a sidecar the last year of live coverage - not the official reason for ending coverage but you gotta wonder?

Wasn't that why you guys forfeited the prize money? Weren't you promised TV coverage instead of prize money?

No TV camera man was killed at Wanganui. The sidecar concerned was piloted by a contributor to this thread and all people involved walked away from the incident.

I think it was a gravity trap that caused it!!!!!!! Top of the bridge leading onto the front straight it was. Spectacular viewing on TV it was too.
