    Ouch... My first (baby) bin

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later, but i never figured it'd happen before i even started the ride!

Heading out to Raglan for a ride with a good bunch of guys, and had been joking about my wheelstands on the GN as we were waiting for the final arrival.
Now i've been practising my baby ones by virtue of riding around town a lot (commuting every day etc), takeoff from the front of a cue you've just split through, so give it plenty of gas, front wheel pops up a touch.
That was all i was going for, honestly, but i obviously got a little more cocky after having been talking about it for 10 minutes.
Gave it a little bit more revs than normal, pulled back a little (which i dont normally bother with) and WHOOSH, she came right up to 12 O'Clock!
So i ended up running along behind her, throttle fairly well open, trying to grab the clutch but couldnt reach it, and she finally dropped on her left hand side, and i ended up sprawled on my back laughing my ass off.

Jumped up and picked her up, without realising she hadnt stalled, and was still ticking over in gear. Stalled when i picked her up, so re-started and rode off out of the way. Got off and nearly fell over laughing. I 12 O'Clocked my GN!

Bike was fine, just smashed the plastic L plate and rolled up the corner of the number plate (easily fixed with some pliers). Other than that you wouldnt know she'd been dropped. Straighten out the mirror as i rode off and she was good as before.

As for myself, twisted / impacted (not sure which) my right knee on the way down, aggrivated old injuries on it. Other than that, a couple of tiny scuffs on my gear is all i have to show for it.

Just thankful i rode away, and that no major damage was done (to either myself or the bike). Will teach me to stop being such a silly bugger i guess

    Good story mate!

In case there are any sceptics out there that a GN can't pull 12 oclockers - I bought and sold a GN a few years back (made an easy $500). Anyway, had a few of the boys around at my place and we were making fun of the GN, when I thought I'd pull a burnout in my drive for a bit of laugh.

I sat in 1st, clutch in, took her up to redline and dropped the clutch. But instead of spinning the wheel, the beast launched and I accidently pulled a close-to-12 oclocker down the drive.

    Beware of the GN...

Not only didn't he have his camera on, apparently he didn't even see it! I almost missed it too, when I looked up your bike was pretty much almost vertical!

I thought everyone was ready to roll, apparently everyone looked to the left to see who was ready when i did it. All happened so quickly too, was over before it began
