    Hi to all (chocobo_ff)

    Hi all,

After getting my learners six years ago, I finally decided that it's time to get myself a bike... the last time I thought about getting one six years ago, my parents weren't happy with the idea, and this time... still the same I'm 25, even though I'm living at home at the moment (doing a postgrad course, and it's soooooooooo much easier when you don't have to worry about cooking and cleaning!), so I doubt there's much they can do even if they don't want me to get a bike

Have not ridden apart from the basic handling course thing and once after that on a friend's bike. Now have my eyes on the Hyosung GT250R and Kawasaki Ninja 250R. Sat on a GT250R the other day and now I just need to find a Ninja around Auckland that I can sit on and get a feel of the bike before I make my decision! Problem is of course that all dealers I've been to don't have the Ninja in stock and won't have one for another couple of months

Oh, while I ponder about what to get, I'm going to get some protective gear and a friend's agreed to let me borrow his 250 to practice in the mean time

Someone else doing your cleaning and washing and a friend lending you a bike to practise on. Life is good

Both choices sound just fine. The Kawasaki should hold is resale/trade value a wee bit better but there are a fair few GTR's out there as well.

No that's what the gf's for Seriously though, I enjoy washing my car (and taking care of the car in general), so going to do the same with my bike when I get one!

I saw that ad too (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-150890395.htm), but unfortunately I'm in Auckland... if I was in Taranaki I'd probably pop in first thing Monday and buy it if I like it
