    And the damage is...

    Broken clutch lever.

    Dent to tank.

    Gouge in paintwork of tank.

    Bent foot peg.

    And how did this happen - has Donor has a bin?

    No ... someone (not me, or any other KBer) decided to move my bike on my driveway, and dropped it.

    So, now I have to replace a hydraulic clutch lever with zero coinage (thanks insurance excess for ripped off house and associated recent expenses) thus trapping me in the car for god knows how long.

    As for the cosmetics, it's not that bad, but to me it looks hideously deforming, and I fucking hate it.

    Sigh... that's 2 shit things, apparently they come in threes... what next?

    Can't be arsed with insurance, probably a few hundy worth of repairs at least, but the $750 excess is ridiculously high for what needs doing...

    GODDAMIT!

    Could be worse, you could be the owner of the brand new jag I saw getting it's front end smacked in by this little old lady trying to reverse park this morning.........

    (Couldn't do anything to stop it, as I was viewing it from out the window of work).....

    Has the person who dropped the bike got insurance?? Under my contents insurance, if I damage other people's property, I can claim it on MY insurance, not theirs!

    IMO it's their responsibility to fix your bike.. they moved it without permission & they have damaged it.. so they need to fix it!

    The person who moved the bike IS responsible - no question at all. If I had moved the bike (I wouldn't touch someone elses bike anyway BUT theoretically....) I would pay the total cost no question.
