    Fake carbs!!!!!!!

Now if a Jap bike had fake carbs, imagine the comments!

I still think if that had a HD style suspended fake 'hard-tail' it would be the bees knees. Dare I say it looks a bit XS650 special.

Mind you the XS was the Japanese Triumph in the day!

Having owned 2 Yamaha 'Specials' of different capacities - and a Bonneville - I know for sure:
Bonnevilles have always been cool, XS650s were Yamahas.

And the picture of the Yamaha makes the new Bonne look even better!
It's also a significantly larger bike, physically.

But you have t remove the pussy pad.

Motorad, Wgtn have a 865cc Speedmaster EFI demo. Must take it out to see how much better it is than the 790cc carbed America I had, once upon a time.
The new blue/white America is my pick of the colours.

What a difference it made removing the pillion seat BD. Transforms the look. The rear pad is slightly diffent now as well.

My America had even worse pillion peg hangers..foul looking things that would make a good anchor one day.

    I don't see why not?

    I drew this just now.

However, in regard to Triumph's creation, that new one is better looking than the older America.

Bigger tank mainly. Fuel pump is within. Nice wheels too.

'Did you do the restoration yourself?'
    'Mate - it's a brand new bike'.
