Bike seats

Not sure if it's because I may have a bony arse, not stopping often but when I do a few rides to places like Bulls, Hunterville or Waiouru I sure get a sore arse after a while on my factory standard seat on my Honda cb900 Hornet.

I see that you can get custom seats for your bike. I just want to know if they work or not.

Mine was around $500 for a complete rebuild to my specs. Had the front lowered, the rear raised and the whole seat reshaped.

Looks good. Not sure if I'm going to it anytime soon with winter closing in but I definitely want to get my bike all set up for next summer with a new seat, windscreen, riding gear and exhausts.

Absolutely agree. I used to ride pillion on a GL1000, the seat was like a piece of four by two after more than an hour. Sheepskin was the unequivocal saviour of my poor bony bottom ...

I think some arse's are just more prone to numb bumb syndrome than others. I also had a rider seat made but in my case it has made very little difference and I truly consider the price to be far too much for what you get. Just my 0.02c
