man I wish i could have come to gizzy, the ride home from waihi was pretty boring besides the gorge. those kids at the gas station stayed with me till I left a bit after you guys, they wernt impressed with our lack of wheelys and burn outs, riding that chopper was a bit of a laugh.

I spent most of the time on the way home by myself, but when I got to the motorway I spent ages with these guys on 600s doing about 150-170k! it was good fun.

got back around 430-5ish hung around in waihi for a while and stopped for a piss and to put warm gear on in ngatea and just cruzed most of the way.

Cheers for organising a sweet ride TOTO.Really enjoyed the gorge on day 2 that was a steaming good pace you set. Good to meet the rest of the guys, hard luck with the chain Dirk, the GN racing was a hoot.
The roads down the coast are stunning if a little treacherous, big dips mid corner and stuff. Im sorry I missed the lighthouse but had a absolute blast going from Te Araroa to Opotiki, apart from the stock this has got to be one of the best roads I have ridden, 160kms of sssss. Huge day in the seat might need to upgrade the CBR seat squab. Cheers for the vid Andy(i need to get my taillights going)

Ha, talking about roads falling apart, heading back to Auck via Miranda shit there's some shocking parts, Shingo, Badger and I just cruising round the corners and suddenly there's a massive kinda hole in the road measuring about a square metre! Managed to (just) avoid the damn pit.

Hey Badg sorry bout leaving you once the motorway began, just really wanted to get home ay lol had damn sore legs.

I must say, it only takes one trip into Auckland via the motorway to see how poor the driving ability is... Saw several cagers blindly changing lanes, swerving back into their lane when they realise a car is already there, people not letting others merge, useless indicating (or none), and 1 million people barely watching the road.

Yeah, there were some interesting patches on those roads alright, amazed we didnt have problems in the morning with all that fog and holes

No worries about leavin me behind, the poor ol ginny struggles a bit doing 110, especially up that long hill just as we hit the motorway. Besides, once ya hit the motorway there's no more wrong turns for me to make

Saw more than my fair share of bad driving on the way home too, but my highlight was passing two other guys on bikes (one a ZXR250, one a CBR250), go the mighty GN power! I dont think they could believe they just got passed by a GN, and tucked in behind me for the rest of the way

Thanks for another awesome trip! Kudos to Toto for organizing it but also to Pocket for his burnouts, Musicman for letting me ride the Zeal, Justbeginning for giving me a run for my money on the gravel, Bass-Treble for an epic GN race (until his chain broke ) and to all the other guys that came along!

I was riding like crap after lunch (just wasnt in the zone, something felt weird, dunno if it was me or the bike) so thanks for chillin with me at ye` olde` snails pace. Always comforting to have some company

Ooh, and speaking of trying out bikes, took a ZXR250 for a test ride tonight
Loved the engine, hated the ergonomics. Just couldnt handle the peg position.
Just made me realise how good of a decision it was to go for the mighty GN!
(Wouldn't say no to a proper blast on yer GSXF tho cracker )

that sort of stuff doesnt scare me so much anymore, just ride it out and shell be right kind of attitude works well for me.

There was one hell of a drop at one stage! Bottomed out my rear mid corner and my feet and ass said goodbye to the bike for half a second

Yeah, it was really weird, first time i've ever really had it like that eh. Just was NOT feeling it all afternoon. Stuffing up corners (especially entries) real bad, and messing up shifts etc. Didnt enjoy the run over the hills back to Kopu like i should have, just concentrating real hard to make it through in one piece with a car up my ass that didnt wanna get past. Was just glad to get home and get off the bike ( never thought i'd hear myself say that!) Was bloody glad to have some company for that return trip eh, thanks again Rob and Shingo!

All good man I was just cruising aswell, didn't feel as into it either for some reason, Shingo took that last hill hard it was good to see! Lol that's why I opened it up on those first few long hills, to get a bit of a gap before he caught up and overtook! Man that sun on the way home was pretty terrible huh, glad I had my tinted visor ay! Bloody Shaun managed to get his sunnies outta his pocket and put them on while riding, I couldn't work out what he was doing ay haha!
