I don't get it. The link doesn't mention bike cams.

Ahhh, now it works. Looks like good value. I was looking at a bullet cam and Archos setup until I noted the cost and sanity kicked in

These cameras seem to work sweet!
Ive had it down on the side fairing so you can see the front wheel and fork etc.
Looks great! Even look good doing wheelies etc.

Did you buy in direct from overseas or from a local importer?

I work at Motomart in Lower Hutt. We have bought a pile from a New Zealand Wholesaler.

Am still waiting for Youtube to upload.

I remember a few months ago watching an MX racer win his race, he had one of those cameras strapped to his helmet. The audio and video was amazing, especially around loud ass MX bikes and constant jumps etc.

/edit, hey! it's on the front page of the site http://www.goprocamera.com/, bottom right-ish.

Is it standard USB mass storage (like a pen drive) or do you need to install specific drivers on your PC to access the footage. The website doesn't mention (as far as I can see) which codec is used?

Yeah you can change to sound input. Has two settings. Lo and Hi.
Lo is used if its on a bike etc. Just tones down all the wind noise. The sound was great on my test run. Camera stayed nice and stable too.

Looks damn cool. Fairly reasonable resolution too... (513x384) but not widescreen.

    Std usb mass storage.
Plug in and away you go.
The sound doesnt work with Windows Vista. But I have downloaded a new media player called VLC media player. Its works fine with that.

Even better. This means that it probably uses one of those nasty, free, opensource codecs. Excellent, should work with Linux then.
