    zzr250 vs drz400sm

    I have been challenged.
someone has the belief that motards are know for their shite handling, and wants to race me and my DRZ-SM on a twisty bit of road.
he is 19 and will be riding a ZZR 250, who wants to watch?
i have a good road up a certain mountain in mind, fingers crossed for saturday!

oh, the same guy really wants to race me and believes that his ZZR can beat busa's!

    im worried now!

ZZR250 probably about the same speed in a straight line. I'm a bit fat and my DR-Z isn't much faster than a Hyobag 250 ridden by a skinny guy to about110km/h. Your DR-Z probably isn't even broken in yet, it will free up considerably about 1000km. Around corners, it's down to the skill of the rider. A ZZR250 probably does beat a 'bus to about 30km/h.

However, you are a tool for doing it on the road. Why not wait until the opening round of VMCC or do a trackday and compare times?

my DRZ aint even been run in properly, 5m from the shop with 0kms on it i had it on the back wheel

im a pretty good rider by others judgment, not very smooth, but fast enough.

    why the road?
cause i dont need to pay $100+ to have fun, and i also dont need to ride a million times on a perfect surface to be fast.
a windy bush road in the middle of nowhere up a mountain is much more me.
the road is where it is at.
    im a skinny kid too...

ZZR ? I assume your ONLY talking about the 250cc version

The ZZR1100 would give your TL a very close run for it's money...

That winding bush road, (and others like it) is also where kids walk along. old ladies drive, on their way to visit family, and farmers move stock to other paddocks.

I couldn't give a fuck if your splattered against a strainer post, or rearranged by a stray bull, but if your testosterone takes out a child walking home from school, I'll have more than a few words heading your way.

    Pull your fucking head in!
