Christ, and I thought MARK could spout shit! My comment about not caring whether someone was gay or straight when out riding with them was in direct response to a post by MaxB who said the same. Is HE protesting too much, or is it okay for him to say this because he's male? It's not like I spouted the old "some of my best friends are [insert gay/coloured/religious/etc]" line!
Who DOES define themselves by who they have sex with? I don't recall hearing gay people go on about who they have sex with, nor do they appear to be defined by their orientation.
Defining yourself by your motorcycle is a bit tossy though and I'm sorry that this is the one thing that says who you are.
And wow, someone thinks I'm gay because I post in a thread about lesbians. That's SO original. I'll take it as a compliment - the lesbians who have posted in this thread appear to be far more intelligent than the likes of you, whatever your sexual orientation!![]()
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
I actually wrote "amongst other things" into that post, originally, but then deleted it because I liked the rhetorical impact of my unqualified hyperbole.
For someone who purports to be a journalist, you're not very good at reading and comprehension, are you?
fireball and LilSel will take that as a great compliment.

After nearly five years of contributing to Kiwi Biker forums, I have ascertained that not all cretans come from Crete.

Purports, that's a BIG word for a little boy to use! You could also use a lesson in comprehension. Homophobia means a hatred of or fear of homosexuals. Can't find anything in any of my posts that alludes to that. My annoyance was directed at people who thought ALL women who rode motorcycles were lesbians. I get just as annoyed by people who think ALL journalists write lies for tabloid papers. It's unfounded generalisations that irritate me.
I was once hit on by a guy I wasn't interested in who immediately thought I was gay because I didn't fancy him. Same thing as the motorcycling females must be lesbians line - I'm not worried about being thought of as gay, I'm pissed off that people lack the originality to think of any other reason for a person's behaviour.
