    Nobody understands him.
    He's provocative
He gets people going... just like Fergie and her lady lumps

I think it maybe taking longer than the 4 days it took for the piss to leave Al perhaps, might still be in that in-coherent stage.

I prefer the glass mirrors myself. Reflections in chrome mirrors are a little dull. Suppose they might be a better option on the GB with the amount of offroad and gravel work you do or is that the CX?

CX, 550f, GB. Take ya pick. At nana pace though. Still haven't decided which beasty to put the heated grips on. Getting so soft in my old age it would seem.

Heads up- Lots of resealing done in the East Pahongina Valley Rd and between Apiti through to the Kimbolton turn off.

Whilst that I realized that your purchasing power overseas is better, it does nothing to help the local bike shops. Who do you go to when you have issues with your new gear, certainly not the place in the States that you brought it from. You go to your local bike shop and expect them and the local supplier to rectify the problem for a product you didn’t even purchase in NZ.

This is happening more and more guys, as I see it on a weekly basis. But this does nothing to help the local bike shops that have a large investment in inventory to give the customer a good range of choice, of which is then only used as a sizing and problem solution to buy overseas at a cheaper price, hence harming our local economy.

You are the first ones to complain when your local bike shops don’t have what you want. This will become more and more if the locals don’t shop locally. One of the advantages to shopping locally at which ever shop that maybe, is the development of a relationship with your chosen shops staff, and you will find that if you support them, they will look after you.

But you guys and girls that shop overseas are the first to expect a discount or some other form of concession from the shops when you need something in a hurry that you can’t source from overseas. Where’s the fairness in that??? Especially to our loyal customers.

    Rant over
Just because someone walks into a shop doesnt make automatic rights that they are going to spend their money there. I can see the irritation with "shopper" who "window shop" for what they want, try everything out and then but elsewhere. That is bad karma.
Thats not what Yod did and Paul, you can go to timeout. Wrong time, wrong place.
I try to support the local shops but the local shops are making it hard. I work with machinery every day. There is no real reason why I cant service my own bike. Except convience. I was solid on AFC until they disappointed me. Now I choose your shop. Sure I dont buy a new bike every six months and on the grand scale of things I am a very little fish in your pond but I do give you oppourtunity to sell me something I need/want first and formost.
With the recent brake pad thing I came and asked you how much. You were too dear and I told you that. Maybe it was the market, maybe it was the inflated prices, it doesnt matter, my hand was forced to buy elsewhere at 25% of the price. As it later turned out I could have got the parts in NZ for 50% of your price. If I had come across them before I had ordered the ones from the states I would have paid that, even though it was double the landed imported price, but four times is just too much.

That said, While you are showing so much support for Pauls outrage, how many of the test ridden bikes did you buy and which shop are you getting your next bike from?

Start a new thread marked "Ahole eBay surfers" or "Vampiric NZ Retailers". This ones for Manawatu rides and doesn't need battle lines drawn through the middle of it as I can see starting to happen here. ZBoth parties have valid points and No party is going to win this one or find a solution any time soon.

Shake hands, Pauly - go back to sniffing 2 Stroke and helping me find some RVF USD forks. Johno - go back to looking for another tractor bike and realising your helmet was designed for fat head americans and yet it seems to fit you well...
Careful with that fence there sly. Arguments come up from time to time, but with this one I will park my arse firmly in Yods corner.

I dont think so. I surmise that there is actually a small percentage of people who do what Paul is suggesting. Note that it is not simply shopping overseas he is complaining about by rather using shops staff and time as a sounding board and then shopping overseas - to that I object.

    Intrapersonal Communication.

Speaking aloud (talking to oneself), reading aloud, repeating what one hears; the additional activities of speaking and hearing (in the third case of hearing again) what one thinks, reads or hears may increase concentration and retention. This is considered normal, and the extent to which it occurs varies from person to person. The time when there should be concern is when talking to oneself occurs outside of socially acceptable situations.
