Hey Puddlejumper, I,m new here( refugee from the tiger 1050 forum). I am thinking about a switch from the tiger to the Bandit, so I read with great interest, your personal thoughts. Not too long for me!! I am taking a 1250 out when it bloody well stops raining and if anyone's interested, will post my thoughts here. Looks a good forum.

Hi mate, I'm also going to take a new 1250 out for a spin and would be interested in what your thoughts are when you take yours for a try. Like puddlejumper I'm going to go for the non abs one, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be worried about how it sounds, just how it goes, sounds like new lightbulbs might be the go though

i have a bandit 1250 too, i find it a heavy but damn good ride! i just did over 2000 ks on it in the last 8 days! yes you are right, the seat is crap!!!

the "stepping out" issue i had with it has cleared up, i ride with 32 psi in the front and its just fine and dandy!

i have just had fitted a two brothers muffler and oh boy what a difference! looks and sound have improved 100000000000000000000000000000% well worth the money spent with crasherfromwayback at wellington motorcycles!

you mention the clutch and gearing? well that is a typical suzuki thing so im told?! i have well over 5000 ks on the clock on mine and it does seem to have eased a little, or i have got used to it?

will i be getting rid of it soon? no chance, its too much fun!
    32 psi
i run 40 front and back

Have had my 1250 for a month now, done 1100ks. Absolutely love it. Agree that seat is not the best yet, but always use a sheepskin anyway. This bike does not feel like a 220kgs. Got a good deal from Wgtn Motocycles with Leo Vince pipe thrown in. Sounds cool especially at the higher revs. Also got the touring panniers which are labelled Suzuki but are most definately Givi. Next big ride is the BRASS end of next month.

Sounds like I will have to eat some more donuts to aid the padding for the old arse department Doesn't sound the best for a so called tourer. maybe I should get them to add some padding to the seat when I get mine
Did they say how many Kms before it's run in ?

0-Right - this will upset some but fark paying a grand for a Yoshi slip-on can.

Go here, or get on the web

    http://denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/cmn/pr...mmyId=12500177

I have purchased a lot from Dennis Kirk - great service -all prices are in US dollars - figure in about US$90-US$100 shipping to NZ for a pipe.

There are other US places around as well that are often cheaper.

    Go here to convert dollars
    http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi

Your yoshi will be about NZ $550 to $700 depending if alloy, stainless, carbon etc. THE SAME pipe you would get here for $1000 plus.

Running in the seat or the bike? Bike run in ks is 1600. Serviced at 1000ks. The seat dont worry me too much as did the BRASS last year on a DR650. Now thats the seat from hell. On the 1250 first 300ks allows 4500rpm, or about 130 in top. According to the manual can do 8000rpm. Have to wait till I get down south to see what that is in top. Also headlight is crap. will change bulb.
