thats the thing that interests me, the type of power that comes from an inline six....i've driven 4, 5 and 6 cylinders cars, in straight and V configurations and a 6 is the nicest type of power easily (although a 5 isn't bad)....i've never had the chance to try a 6 cyl bike but i'd love to one day, unfortunately there just aren't many around

It's almost turbine like, the power just builds so seamlessly. The gixer has more, much more, but it doesn't deliver as smoothly as the six. I've got most of a spare motor, the intention is to build a roots type blower on the side. the issue is as you increase the horsepower, you start to run into problems with the bearings on one and six. Plus the cylinders all run at different temps, which makes running boost an issue...

I think you're missing the point, bikes like this change the way we view the world. The first fireblade, ZZR1100, GSXR1000, R1, CX500 turbo - all watershed bikes.

No it's a Volvo 850GLT.2.5 lt turbo front wheel drive which can make driving in the wet exciting to say the least.

We have different sheds. None of them would make my cut. Evolutions not revolutions - and some very short lived - CX500 Turbo????

I've never ridden a six-cylinder bike.

Can't wait to try the promised musclebike-with-GL1800-motor at some point in the distant Honda future.
