I know the way you ride/drive makes a big difference on the fuel consumption, but it also look like there is a bit of a difference between the bikes, ie Hyo seems to be getting more K/ltr than most others out there

With my vtr250 i can esily get 30k/L round town with a bit of motorway riding. But when i go out on the open road it drops down to round 25-27k/L.
Thats pretty close to what some of the guys on the Hyo's are getting, and i would imagine the other 250's with the parallel twins should be around the same.
2005 BMW F650GS
Average: 3.5l/100km
City/Hwy (l/100km): 3.6/3.4
For real??? Thats equivalent to a Kawasaki ZZR250!

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
I've had from 16k/L to about 27 on my cbr.
the hyos arnt that much different from mine. on a ride with toto we bothed filled up at consecutive gas stations and used pretty much the same amount.
My Hyo 250 Comet only gets around 400kms a tank tops still good but could be better.
The GOOD ones will only give you 15k/L or LESS
Reactor Online. Sensors Online. Weapons Online. All Systems Nominal.
I had a suzi 2005 GSx and got around 400-450 out of a tank of gas.
But then i ride like a nana
About 11.5 litres fills my bike when it hits the reserve tank. Usually get about 200-240kms from that before it splutters and tells me to switch to reserve and find a servo. All depends if I'm in a hurry, revving high etc or just cruising. Still way better than the cage and 10 times the fun![]()

Fucksake. Hang yourself.
What you on about 18km/l is very good. I get 14-16.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
That's huge, my fuel gauge reads empty at around 300Km, but I can only ever fit about 13L of fuel in to fill it up (must be a badly calibrated gauge)
So that's only 23K/L...but that's basically 100% commuting.
I guess some long trips on the open road might improve the economy figures somewhat.
Even my GT650R does up around 23km/L.
Go teh hyobags !

After having my full license for a couple of years or more I still think that my 4 cylinder is great.
But those economy figures from those modern bikes is probably starting to really kill the value of bikes such as mine. Just as I am thinking of moving on from my little bike.
I've gotten near 300km mileage before reserve ( using up 14 litres ) of petrol a few times.
If I absolutely nana my bike using all the gears possible at speeds <60kmph I can juuuuuusssst get 20km/l. Sitting at a constant speed of 100km which is 9000rpm in 6th it does 16-18km/l =-\
btw, I'm doing a hot trip to welly this weekend. I'm gunna bash this piss outa it and see how BAD I can get the fuel economy, without killing myself in the process. Uh, yeah, itsa 650, and this is a 250 thread, my bad.![]()
