I hate the way the American media says "now you must understand this is a minority of riders....BUT THERE'S BEEN 13 DEATHS IN 2 YEARS! OH MY GOD 13!....but they're a minority...and you should be worried....because they're a minority everywhere"
or "there's been 13 deaths in the surrounding 5 states, most of them motorcyclists" sorry how many? i kind of want an actual number...it's important that I know what you mean by "most" cause it could be 7, which is closer to a half...but it is still most...
all those American soccer moms will be going "hmm all sports bikes are dangerous...even if it's a minority i should still tell the neighbours if i see one, you never know"
and their attempt at justifying the story "ONE DAY THEY'RE GOING TO KILL AN INNOCENT PERSON!" what and they wern't innocent in the first place? i mean you're basically saying motorcyclists aren't innocent people, and you're also playing on the what if, how many people in 2 years have been killed by motorcyclists? a family of 4 were hit head on by a bike doing 150 and they walked away fine...traumatized sure but who isn't traumatized these days?
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
