Mine's going well and she'll be going back soon, you just can't get better service where it counts. Apart from the work I had done today she's had a wee 'tweak' with the tuneboy, great piece of equipment. I may go the whole nine yards yet and get it custom mapped which should get a substancial increase in HP. We'll see

You'll have to check out the pics, video, and computer data when it arrives, very cool!

Hmmmm, also thinking of getting the newer Gixxer back on the road, may need a new battery, but got er going the other night. Fancy a spin?
I take it that Kerry's workshop is all go then? I'm looking forward to the day I get there and see what he can do with mine. The high hp tunes I've played with seem to devastate the mid-range and I found I was constantly in the 8000-10000rpm range.
I think my bike is slowly starting to mend. PT’s will do their bit and get it back to me for painting. That’s cool, as I’m pretty handy with a brush!

Hey ya Ferris, wondering if you did any scraping of yr side casing and if your painting or p/coating ? I've got a good gouge in my left case, i'm thinking of repairing ! Wondering whether to get it powder coated or just spray it !
Will leave only a scrape on the radiator shroud and scratches on the tank to fix up to get it back to mint ! Awww and new gauge cover lol
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Green looks better on a Honda anyway. Plus, if its on a Honda, it'll get the chance to see whats its like to be green AND at the front of a race of once.

hmmm.... maybe they should paint kawasakis grey...

I may just head up as far as Vinegar Hill or a bit further. If they are meeting Meanie and Monie at Taupo at 2 they should be down there around 3.30 or 4.00 so can leave here this afternoon some time.

I know this was directed at Cowboyz but you may not be aware that the Kawasaki has mechanical issues at the moment (rear wheel bearing)

(EDIT) Just realised your probably offering Lance a ride on the Suzuki. He should take it up as the bikes about 10 years older than his the performance will be comparable.

Sly is hinting at a ride to meet Jonno as he comes down on his new ride.

(Edit) Slys leaving at 11.00am and going all the way to Taupo. Bit far for me.

Funny you should ask. I've done a deal with insurance to replace my alternator cover, should the painted surface fail. Mine now looks 110% (I think), but paint is not as resilient as powdercoating. I would recommend powdercoating the cover as opposed to painting. It's also cheaper!

True ! Might be the way to go then, biggest concern is that it comes back looking a completely different colour lol
Had a metal polisher suggest giving it to him and he'd polish it back to alloy lol mmm nah my bling is black !!

I wouldn't worry too much about colour for the alternator cover though I hear what you're saying. I just dropped mine back at PT's without even checking it to the engine, so fingers crossed. Different if it was the highly visible clutch cover!
As for the metal polish, your bike would resemble the Terminator with skin missing!

The workshop is still in progress, will take awhile by the looks of it. He's still open for business tho having given up on trying to sort it out with no distractions, you know what it's like

He'll be able to sort your bike NO problems. The tuneboy can custom map every parameter and tweak around inside that with incredible flexibility. It's beauty lies in that it doesn't just rely on a 'standard' map for a 'standard' bike and pipe, but can allow for all the variables.

Yep, I know about Cowboyz bearings. He's going to use the Gixxer until he's sorted them. Only thing is the gixxer's battery is f_ _ ked so we'll try and use the 9's in the meantime.

May be up for a trip to catch Yod, you doing V Hill later?

Realised thats what you meant after I wrote that... Can't help with the battery as I only have the one in the bike.

I was going to head out that way around 1pm. Will be heaps early but will give plenty of time to ride and then sit and talk shit at the Ohingaiti pub or somewhere while waiting for the YOD entourage.

Say Ashhurst at 1pm meeting point?
