Well that is the first evening of I hope many to come, many thanks to wofman for providing facility's and even a BBQ.

I think we managed to cover off the topic well and I hope you all got something out of it (aside from a bunch of print outs).

Unfortunately next week will be a miss for me , I have no doubt it will be a good one.

Yeah, was good. Thanks for taking the time out to do that JMemonic . Hope the meeting with the doc goes well, good luck getting the back sorted.

I'll be running most of those checks over my bike while it's all still fresh in my mind. A couple of things in there I actually really NEEDED to know, like chain tensioning - which a quick check tonight shows does need a wee bit of adjustment on my bike. So all in all I'm pretty stoked!

Thanks heaps Wofman and JMemonic, and everyone who turned up. Great to listen - you guys are awesome teachers ... .

I'll be checking my tyres now, esp that back one! Loved the tools and I see a small shopping trip coming up - tyre pressure gauge at top of the list, but I really liked the torque wrench for keeping behind the front door. And now thinking about engineering a bike lift in the garage. KingJackel very handy with the measuring tape (ops, picks self up out of the gutter). And that chain had sure been around the block a few times, hope I can get as much milage from mine .

All in all a great night ... arrived home just in time to be thrown into some work so putting these up a little late but better than never

Hope your back recovers soon Jm ~ ouch.

Pics - Jm showing off his new tool, Fireliv checking tyre pressure, battery, fuse maintenance, Phoenix testing the suspension, group hug goodnight.

We will see how we go, its not on the programme but if needs be and its ok with Wayne I will just sit in a corner and change it over.

If this can be added to the programme we need to remove a couple of links from memory, if so it may be a good topic, especially as I don't have the tool to remove links the "nice" way

I will try and get around and see Wayne sometime on Monday.

Ok I went in and saw Wayne, we are set to do Jessies chain as part of the evenings events, also if someone wants to do an oil an filter change we will add that in (please supply your own oil and filter), we can look at other basic maintenance, and for those who were not at the first one I will bring along the notes from that.

If you anything you would like to see please don't forget to ask so we can add it the agenda for a night. So far we have the following.

I will try and cover tyre repairs one night I am sure I can rake up an old tyre and rim to show on and off bike repairs just need to get a on road kit.

The heated handle bars is an easy job on some bikes we just need access to the battery so if you want to get a set we can do that one night, please let me know in advance as we might need to add a relay in and a couple of other things.

I have the fluid and can easily get the pads, so I'll happily volenteer my bike to be used as a demonstration bike.
You available this week for this ? It might be a little short on notice for you if you don't have the pads I know.

Even with the addition of notes you couldn't teach that to a group of people properly in a couple of hours Not to the extent of having ALL the group competent enough to manage doing those jobs unaided and to a safe level.
