+1 if it does not 'feel' right it can turn out to be a 'bad' ride - listening to that inner voice - I do the same thing.

I have no idea, but for some reason I always mount my bike from the left. Even walking all away around the other side to do so.

Odd. Would love to find out why.

i dress in my kit and helmet then dance around a fire while alex (spuds1234) similarly dressed lowers a virgin engine part into the fire, then sprinkles the magic herbs and mutters the prayer with a flash the engine part is gone.

we do this on a monthly basis, under the full moon, PM me for details on how you can join in the ritual sacrifice.

    Has anyone mentioned biker bells?

You put one on your bike for good luck - they are to scare off any demons or souls that tamper with your bike and keep accidents from happening on the road.

    Google them. It's quite common!

Always put my gear on in the same sequence. Ear plugs (left then right), helmet, then gloves (right then left).

I'm not sure if it's because I'm retentive, or just to make sure I have all my gear sorted before I ride.

In all fairness to super hero's, adding the Wonderwoman deflector wrist bands at times completes the respect I have for those two....

Magno Man !!!... Dont leave home without it

The Kids were collecting these and as they became "too used" they were donated to Dad. Twas quite cool as they have magnets so were able to be stuck to the bike etc etc. As time has gone on they have migrated to Pockets and I dont lave home without one of these being moved to a pcoket of whatever pants Im wearing.

I also try not to ride without the obligatory "goodbye, luv ya" to the Wife and Kids even waking them up (at all hours if needs be) so I know they heard me. Occasionally it happens that I dont and I never feel entirely comftable.

I count my pieces of gear (boots, trousers, jackets, gloves, helmet) to make sure I have everything. Not much by superstition, though.

I used to have one, mostly because the sound of the bell while riding amused me. Someone stole it. Oh, well.

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
