That's a bugger. You really must give up those high risk sports that interfere with your motorcycling Sorry to miss you on the Brass. Call in if your're passing our new addy. Cheers, T.
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

Well that was ACC claim #38 by my calculations - about 20 related to all kinds of two wheeled fun! That is my only fracture I am allowed this year so got it out of the way early this time!

    I've gotta bale out too...

Twisted my knee recently doing a solo on the Ashley River and now need ligament surgery... the sound if the tendon rip was louder than the bike as I went down, caught my foot as the bike went 180 on clay...

Limping and not sleeping properly... roll on ACC op...

Have fun guys, pretty gutted as I brought a tent for it recently etc..

    Hey there Mickeyboy,

I'd love to be part of the team, but sadly I don't get my license back until 6th of June, just after the Brass trip......

    Bloody demerit points......

Anyway, I'm VERY KEEN to hear of any trips or rides on after 6th of June, as not having been on the KLR for 3 months, I'm going to be off for some gentle rides the next day :-)

Have a great ride everyone, Stu

P.S. I just realised that my signature shot below was taken on the same trip last year.......
My KLR thinks it's a Hyundai - running happily at the red-line hour after hour.....

    Major bummer...

I'm re-evaluating knee pads/guards after doing something lesser but similar recently - do you think you could have worn anything that would have prevented this injury?

    cheers

I had some Alpinestars knee pads on at the time, didn't do much to help... I have posted on the 'neck brace' post some more info.

Best of luck to everyone going, post some pics on your return!!!
