Much kudos to those who made it possible by marshalling, bossing us around and providing the organisational infrastructure on the day to make this do-able. The last two weeks before the meeting were fairly full-on with people like Shirley (BMW) working hard despite illness, others stepping into unfamiliar roles, and others being pulled out of retirement to fill some gaps. Nigel from The Pacific MCC also stepped up and organised flag marshalls, as our usual crew chief is also recovering from illness.
Much of the team providing the muscle on the day are now from Kiwi Biker, with several stepping up for the first time on the day. Many many thanks to the first timers and the more crusty volunteers. I daren't risk naming everyone for fear of missing someone, but I suspect that I can safely say that all the racers appreciate what you do.
'kin aye, +1 to that. Cheers VMCC and other volunteers.

One of the things that surprised me most on sunday was the number of bins on the right-hand kink through the esses coming into the pit straight (T13 of the circuit we used but officially named T16). From memory, there were at least 4 riders who lost it there.

Is it that the right side of the tyre really has no heat in it since T5 and maybe T9 are the last right-handers? Is it very slightly off-camber or does it's sharpness catch you out? Somebody mentioned that the concrete fillets were like ice, perhaps it was that?

Nowhere else were there a consistent series of bins like that ... hmmmm.
