It doesn't have to be. Try throwing a cup of dried maize, and a handful of rice into the grain mill and process until its very fine. Add milk, spices, raisins, custard powder, and cook it up like normal porridge, except for the spectacular taste and aroma. Serve, and add grapes, thinly sliced bananas, fresh yogurt, artificial sweetener, and milk, for the best damn porridge you have ever had.
