he's obviously running against people slow of the blocks then aint he.... Mid 10's are nothing to be sniffed at but the 1000 should do a very very early 10 if not a sub 10.

    I believe you've never ridden a gsxr 1000 +k6 in anger... and i know your biased ( i see you own a 750 )

teh 750 and 1000's are two very different bikes, the 750 is a compromise between the 600 and teh 1000. lighter than a 1000 and more hp's than a 600.

Ask Enigma_51 how he turns into a complete Hooligan after hes ridden the thousand why he wont buy one..

My old boys got a k7 thou, he let me run it in at a suzuki track day at taupo it was the easiest safest bike i have ever ridden! Actually I spotted a deal and i have just purchased one and im going down to pick it up on sat! my tax money is safer in a bike then in the bank.......

btw all my 600s have run 10 sec 1/4 miles!

A 250 HyoBag does not constitute an experience on a twin.

If you want to know what riding a real twin feels like, you can have a session round Taupo next time I'm there (if you want too) - then maybe you might have a different opinion.

Yes and no, took out the K7 1000 (borrowed a M3 shod mates bike), unimpressed, it was heavy, bars too high, seat too low, midrange was better than my bike but top end was a bit flat, just didn't scream like the 750.

To be honest I've always prefered the lighter bike, so the slightly lower power output of the 750 is not an issue when you take into account the light nimble handling. It's still the best compromise in my opinion.......as to whether the K6 1000 is a world apart from the K7......true I don't know....what I do know is that the K7 has the ugliest pipes I've ever seen...

Now i wont disagree with you at all, teh 750 in teh tight stuff is the best compromise but i'll disagree with you on the top end of the k7's power delivery.... it gently stretches your arms until your eyes are in the back of your head... and i wont disagree on teh stock pipes.. I'll have my sexy pipes any day

teh difference in power delivery on teh 750 and a 1000 mate is light years.. believe me.

I think maybe we need to do a swap one day seeing as obviously neither your 1000 or my 750 are typical examples of the standard bikes and we both seem to have only ridden the standard reciprocals and have been similarly unimpressed......and sorry Jasmine for taking over your thread.....although its good advertising though

Are you serious? Hyosungs are shit. (No offense to peeps who own them) But go take a proper V twin out for a ride like a SV650s/1000s, VTR1000, Aprilia or a Ducati...

Nothing better than barking out of a corner on a big fat torque curve.

Well, except for when I took a ZX7rr out for a ride, blowing past traffic cos the speedo cable was broken!!!

    Ooooo, or do that....

At least take one out jas, hyosungs arent the bike to base all Twins on...

I shall have to try a Vtwin some time in the future... Thanks very much for the offer, but I'm terrified of riding other peoples bikes

Hehe, I use to own one... They are economical though! I think the Vtiwns will interest me when I'm older.... But I just love the growl of the IL4's!

If you come up to Auckland, call Haldanes and book a test ride on the 848 demo bike.

Not that you can afford one of those right now, but I think you need to sample it.

Thing is... I can hardly touch the ground on most bikes. So I don't want to test ride a bike I can't afford to drop... When there is a high risk of me dropping it!

The K7 GSX-R600's seat height is 810mm; the 848's seat height is 830mm.

    You might be OK...
