Nice shots Nicola.
Here is a shot from that spot, it felt close, wish I had stayed there longer!
Oh didn't know you headed to the event Shayne, will pass on the people asking about photos to www.holeshot.co.nz![]()
Awesome shots Nicola.
Have you anymore of Jesse Donnelly #6. Second pic in the second post.
I've sent that one to his dad. Just had a report he was second to Broxy in his last MX outing so he's coming along!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
Thank you Richard.I didn’t really take that many photos; only a few hundred. It wasn’t really my intention to sell any but just to get a few for the Club’s website and to cheer on a friend of ours Roger Hinz - number 45.
I have this ‘endo’ one and one in a change of kit. Let me know your email address and I’ll send you over the large files.

Thanks - Been hit once from behind at AK SX.
If you use a wide angle like mine at 16mm you have to get that close, otherwise you may as well use a midrange lens, but then you sacrifice the end result.
It was not that dangerous down there for me as I had a big tractor tyre protecting my inside, looking at your pic though, I did notice my vest pocket in the rear was vulnerable to a clutch lever that would have pulled a rider down in that tight corner - I would have felt bad if that had happened, the main problem I have is the riders like to try and get as close to me as they can. It has given me an idea though, to get a digger to dig me a hole so I can get just as low and close and be comfortable ,panning that close is hard you miss a lot of heads etc.
I would like to post more here but my ties with the mags prevent me from doing so, the Junior images are up on my site now.
It all adds to the adrenalin being that close!I tried to achieve a similar appearance while crouching behind a tree right next to the track once! I was only using my 50 lens so it didn’t really work out
but I’m always striving for different angles.
Spent a while looking at your website yesterday. Fantastic photos!![]()
