What a fantastic idea - Thanks Sels,
Took my boy for ride on the bike to Wellington to have a look then feed of fish and chips at Lyall Bay. Heres some pics from the Ferrari Display. Oh and the gaming rig was fun as, managed a 4th but not enough to reach top 3 and get the cool toy, we did however get a ferrari toy car each - Was worth that alone.

Does Shell seriously expect us to believe that there are Ferrari race cars that run on 95 octane fuel?

Does Shell seriously expect us to believe that their "new" V-max is any different to the "Ultra High" 95 they were pumping a few weeks ago?

Does Shell seriously expect us to believe that there is any discernible difference between their 95 and that sold by every other fuel company in New Zealand?

This is nothing more than aromatherapy for automobiles and deserves to be exposed for the charade that it is.
Shell gave me a nice red brochure telling me all about their new V-Power fuel.

I read all about it and I was soooo impressed!

I immediately booked my bike into Street and Sport for a 10,000km warranty check, the previous one was 20,000km. V-Power rocks

The nice Shell people have provided a contact number for further information by calling the Shell customer Service Centre on:

0800 474 355 or visit (www.shell.co.nz) They await your call Hitcher, I have told them all about you and they just can't wait to hear from you!

Do they sell Shell V-Power in America, you will be disappointed if they don't! Cheers John.

Utter bull shit, mind my words.

It's the same with stupid Caltex with techron. But hey, if shell wants to spends it's trillions of dollars from profits on advertising a hoax claim, then they can be my guest, those bastards.

Wish I made a fuel company ten years ago... when I was seven.

My favourite TV advert - especially on the surround sound system, and I'm looking forward to my freeview box arriving on the courier!

I figure I can ride around Christchurch like a madman and when finally caught after a OJ inspired TV police chase I'll just blame Shell for all the extra engine power!

    Nah for three reasons

    1. Too cold in CHCH - I'd worry about shrinkage.... (It might end up normal!)
    2. I have not shaved as its winter
    3. The tattoo would give me away......

Yes, one of the F1 regs is that the cars have to run on pump fuel. Obviously though, they filter pretty much all of the additives and shit out so that it is straight fuel.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

Because the additives are really only to water down the fuel, right?

Good to hear Bull. We called in for a look too. Saw your bike outside on our way out. You managed to get our daughter in the background of one of your pics.

Yes. And for entirely different reasons they're correct, 0.00012% of it is different. The rest of it came down the same pipeline as everyone elses.

Not quite pump fuel, but a reasonably close approximation.

Maybe Shell V-power would meet the F1 technical specifications, which allow 95 RON petrol?

Looking at the Shell NZ V-power data sheet, it has too much sulphur in it to be used in an F1 car.

The second time I hear people complaining about the Shell Ad (first one was on NZ Herald Sideswipe couple of days ago (Friday I think))

What is wrong with you people. it's a cool ad with cool cars and nice setting with excellent blending beautiful workmanship.

Geez if everyone is like the OP and can't appreciate good advertisement which obviously work for its target market then the whole advertising industry would have died.

Shame on you for killing New Zealand and world economy.
