FFS, There are some race results posted on this site from around 1980 where Robbie Dean did a Castrol 6 hour solo.

What a fabulous way it would be to learn my way around HAMPTON DOWNS. I s'pose it could be fun at Pukie, but I've never ridden there. It's a long way to go from little old Porirua but if it was a festive and fun occasion, I would give it serious consideration.

I think the big idea for this event is a fun, team event. Something a bit different from the norm.

Personally, I'd have no problem racing a two hour solo. Six hours? That I'd have an issue with

You'd maybe have three bikes finish, if you were lucky.

Why not? Both tracks have a chequred safety history. Ever hear of a guy named Dajiro Kato?

Anyways, enough of that, you've got your reasons. I just think it's a better test of a team if it's one bike, two riders, doing tyre changes, having to refuel, all the rest of it.

    I'd do it.

I'd even be a fucking sheep and even go to a gym and get fit to do that.

Who do I share a bike with?

Get thee to the gym and maybe we could hatch a plan for taking out the 400cc endurance title.

The whole point of an endurance race in my opinion is to introduce a new element into the races.
As trashy said tyre changes, refuelling, rider changes then become import and and can win or loose races.
One thought would be compulsary rider changes every half hour with a 5 minute window to have left the track in makes for 3 rider changes--

I've been keen to run an endurance meeting but business pressure has put it on the back burner
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?

That can't be true, it's in your genes. Scotsmen have no choice about fitba. I've known a couple that have played way past their use by date, finding new ways to brutalise and injure their tired old bodies every weekend.

Now, back to the racing. I do think it's a great idea, but the more I think about this (the expense, the risk of someone else binning a bike that has to race in other meetings) the wider the fence gets that I'm sitting on. Having it closer to Welly would certainly be likely to get me off.....the fence.

Hell, maybe you could do both. Bang in 30 or so laps, jump off bike. High 5 your other ambo guy ...etc etc.

Tag team racing. Have a supermotard for a minimum of 30 minutes, a 600 for minimum of 30 minutes and litre bike for minimum of 30 minutes. Let the carnage begin.

    dont forget about your marshalls!!!!

they only concern i have is with the whole thing is the different powered bikes in one race..... but with saying that im happy to pick your ass up off the ground when you need me.

if it happens ill be there dressed in orange happily watching bikes go round and round and round
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.
